I thought it was my lucky day. Walking by the break room, I see free Diet Coke on the table....on the table that's right in front of the soda vending machine.now, I'm not a huge soda drinker. I'll drink it if there's no bottled water around because I'm convinced that water out of the tap in the office tastes like feet. Not that I know what feet tastes like (pul-lease...no foot fetish here!). But when I've tasted the water out of the tap and out of the pseudo-water-filter-thing, the word that came to mind to describe the taste is feet.
so you can only imagine for a thirsty cube citizen like me, the sight of free diet coke is welcome. and why pay the evil vending machine $0.70 for a can, when you can get it for free, right?
WRONG! turns out the free diet coke is expired....AUGUST 2007! You can't totally read it on the picture, but trust me on this.

WTF?@?!@? And who knew that soda expires?!?!? I have flash backs to an episode of 20/20 or Primetime...one of those news-ish shows that is on tv on like a Friday or Saturday nite (I know, total loser move sitting home watching this crap on the weekend....this was during my pre-Tivo days). And on the show they talked about how the junk in soda can erode enamel, clean your toilet, etc. So, to think that's what soda can do when it's consumable...imagine the destruction after it expires!!
The only questions that remain are: who dumped the diet coke gone bad and did anyone drink it?!?
